Radio and Shopping
Two radio stations were setting up shop just before 10:00 in the River Oaks (Calumet City, Ill) for some live broadcasts in and around the shopping activity at this suburban mall. There were adding a little cheer thorugh music and free giveaways.
The country station US 99 (99.5 FM) went live with Drew Walker at the mic from 10:00 a.m. – noon. The R&B/Old School station V103 (102.7) had periodic live feeds from Ramonski Love.
Fans were starting to trickle in to catch some of the broadcasts.
One representative from US 99 mentioned that they were originally supposed to have a heated tent but, that the plans changed and now they are colder than they wanted to be.
