X-Box 360 SOLD OUT in Boston!

Square One Mall has approximately 10 stores that sell electronics equipment and not one of them had the Xbox 360.

Store after store posted Sold Out signs on the empty boxes they still possessed but not one of them actually carried the item. “There is no way we could keep this system in stock,” said one store worker. “From the minute it came out it has been the hottest seller we have had all year.”

The desire for this gaming system is in such demand that Best Buy began handing out tickets for the product this morning. Each ticket represented a system that could be redeemed once a shipment was received. And, believe it or not, people crawled out of bed just to wait in line for the ticket in hopes that their system would soon be near.

“My brother and I skipped school and waited in line for the Xbox 360 the other day and we came home empty handed,” said one jaded video game fan as he stood in line for his ticket. “We waited all day and nothing.”

And that boy is not alone. Nationwide people have been trying to get their hands on this item but find it far too difficult to reach. While the Xbox 360 is available for sale online the average asking price on a site such as EBay is roughly $1,000, nearly $600 more than its retail value.

With its sleek new design, real-life graphics and technological capabilities that far surpass most, if not all, gaming systems, the new version of the Xbox seems to be the “it thing” of 2005. Let’s just hope Santa is storing some in the North Pole to ensure a Christmas morning delivery because this gift is definitely going to be a hard one to find.
