Sunrise in Princeton...
An hour later, the sun is finally up, bringing more shoppers with it as they rise from their beds at a more reasonable hour.
The check-out lines at Target are still moving at a brisk pace, but items are flying off the shelves. The hot toy this year seems to be a classic: Lite Brite. (You always come back to the basics.)
Meanwhile, the small flat-screen TVs are disappearing rapidly.
Most customers are walking around in some kind of hyper-focused daze, oblivious to the store around them as they fill their carts. There are crashes and grumbles, but everyone seems too intent on finding the best deal to stop and talk. One customer mutters that she has come out so early for the prices, but only wants one item: a Spiderman basketball set.
